For the sixth consecutive year, Trivium Packaging has received recognition for its work in sustainable and functional metal packaging from The Canmaker’s annual Can of the Year Awards.

The Cans of the Year Awards are one of the longest-running award ceremonies for the metal packaging industry. They honor the top innovations in aluminum and steel packaging. This year, Trivium Packaging won four awards, one Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze, for packaging beverage and personal care items.

A refillable beverage bottle, produced for Cliker, took home the Gold award in the Bottles category. The special edition bottle celebrates the Argentina National Football Team, creating a powerful emotional connection with fans and collectors alike. Featuring 25% recycled content and a refillable design, it supports sustainability while delivering high-impact visual storytelling. This bottle is a winning combination of cultural relevance, recyclability, and standout shelf appeal.

Trivium also won the Silver award in the Aerosols category for its development of the Axe Fine Fragrance can. This lightweight aerosol packaging utilizes Trivium’s proprietary advanced aluminum alloy, an innovation that achieves a 5% weight reduction of the can while maintaining structural integrity, thereby enhancing both sustainability and performance. The can is produced in a facility powered by renewable electricity and certified for energy efficiency and environmental management. Visually, each of the five SKUs features dynamic, scent-inspired artwork that elevates the consumer experience with premium, motion-themed graphics. The can exemplifies the fusion of technical innovation and bold design, redefining what’s possible in male grooming packaging.

Trivium’s one-liter beverage bottle, produced for Proud Source Water, won the Bronze award in the Bottles category. The bottle was designed for maximum hydration and shelf impact, featuring a sleek, cylindrical aluminum body that is engineered for both durability and portability, making it ideal for both retail and on-the-go use. The bottle’s minimalist design and bold proportions make it a standout in the premium water segment. It’s a perfect example of how size, style, and sustainability can come together in modern beverage packaging.

The Cleancult 12oz Water Blossom Hand Soap took home a Bronze award in the General Line category. The refillable aluminium container exemplifies innovation in both design and sustainability. This design features a refined whitewash print effect and introduces a fresh Water Blossom scent, enhancing shelf appeal and consumer experience. The sleek, refillable aluminum canister is engineered for long-term reuse, supporting a zero-waste lifestyle. This product seamlessly blends aesthetics, functionality, and recyclability, making it a standout contender for packaging excellence.

For the Can of the Year awards, each entry was judged on a variety of physical and environmental categories, including production quality, technological enhancements, decoration and print quality, ease of opening and usability, cost and material savings, and more.

Additional information and full details of each winner can be found on the official 2025 Cans of the Year website.
