Trivium’s Youngstown team proudly participated in this year’s Panerathon, a beloved community event featuring a 10K run and 2-mile walk/run that raises critical funds for breast cancer research and care.

Record-breaking participation

This year, Trivium reached a new milestone with over 150 employees joining the event, surpassing last year’s record of under 100. Our team walked and ran alongside breast cancer survivors, including two employees’ spouses and Trivium retiree Liz Conti, who continues to inspire us with her strength and support.

Bottles with a purpose

As part of our Panerathon tradition, Trivium has produced more than 15,000 custom aluminium bottles, filled in partnership with On Us Water. This is the third year in a row that we have provided custom bottles for the event. These bottles serve as both a practical keepsake and a powerful statement of purpose, reflecting our dedication to sustainability and the fight against breast cancer.

Panerathon Bg

Designed by one of Trivium’s own talented artists, the bottle artwork embodies the “Stronger Together” theme. It features runners of various genders, races, and body types, symbolising the universal impact of breast cancer and the unity of our community in this fight.

Our R&D team engineered a special thermochromic ink for this year’s bottles. When chilled, select runners on the bottle turn blue, mirroring the blue shirts worn by Trivium employees during the race – a unique nod to our team spirit and technical expertise.

Reflecting on Panerathon’s mission

In a recent feature by The Business Journal, Nicole Gailey, Trivium’s Senior Director of R&D and Innovation PMO, and Ryan Cene, President of On Us, share the story behind their collaboration and the emotional impact of Panerathon.

Supporting lifesaving care

Since its founding, Panerathon has raised over $5 million for the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, benefiting breast cancer patients at the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center. This year, Trivium contributed $7,500 as a Pink Sapphire Sponsor, reaffirming our commitment to the cause.

Funds from Panerathon also support Joanie-on-the-Go, the region’s first mobile 3D mammography unit, which brings life-saving screenings directly to patients in neighbourhoods across eastern Ohio. Through our continued involvement and support, Trivium helps make essential breast cancer care accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

United in purpose

We’re incredibly proud of our Youngstown team for showing the world that at Trivium, We Contain What Matters. Through community engagement, innovation, and heartfelt support, we continue to stand strong in the fight against breast cancer.
